In 2006, I was ordained as a pastor by the Central Conference of the Korean Methodist Church and began my ministry in an immigrant church while studying abroad in Berkeley, USA. I first experienced English-speaking ministry at Berkeley United Methodist Church (currently Open Church), and after briefly returning to Korea to serve in English worship at Dongtan Zion Methodist Church, I continued my ministry in English-speaking countries at Ganglim Church in Toronto, Canada.

It was a difficult and challenging start due to my shortcomings, but through pastors who embraced me and leaders who recognized my sincerity, I became stronger and came to harbor a sense of gravitas in my heart. In the latter part of my Ph.D. program, I was given the opportunity to gain diverse experience in worship, broadcasting, administration, and youth ministry at Downsview Presbyterian Church; above all, I had many opportunities to preach during the senior pastor's absence. This served as a turning point, confirming that I could be used as an instrument of God for immigrant churches, extending beyond ministry to the English-speaking world.

Looking back on all of this, I confess that 'God's grace' was present in every moment, and only 'God's love,' which beautifully shapes this unworthy servant, remains. Therefore, how could I not be fervent, and how could I not live with passion? At Sebit United Methodist Church, will you not worship with this person of passion, just like David, "dancing with all your might" and "leaping for joy" (2 Samuel 6)?

Hi! I'm Spirit of Hope's Technology and Communications Coordinator. My job is to manage all of the technology involved with running Sunday morning service.

I'm also going to school for Criminal Justice, with the long-term goal of becoming a police officer. In my spare time I enjoy archery, playing videogames, napping, and cuddling up with my cat. I love animals and if becoming a police officer doesn't work out I suppose my backup would be working with them.

Hi, I am the Director of Church Operations and Safety for Spirit of Hope United Methodist Church. I have lived in Englewood all of life. I worked for an international mining society for 40 years before I started working here at Sprit of Hope UMC. I have been a volunteer with the City of Englewood and the Englewood Police since 1995. I love working with children, youth, and the unhoused through our church. We have a food pantry and clothes closet for those in need.

I love to paint with oils, embroider and do crewel pictures. I have 2 Chihuahuas’ they are my sanity, or insanity. We enjoy going for walks and seeing new things. I enjoy being with children and seeing
through their eyes the world around them. I have learned so much from them.
